The HCM Business Analyst is responsible for delivering business solutions enabled by Oracle HCM and other core systems through defining requirements, performing analyses, and designing and testing systems. The HCM Business Analyst is also accountable for gathering and clearly documenting the requirements of the business, identifying potential solutions to meet requirements, obtaining business approval and overseeing the delivery to the production environment. In addition to this, they are required to perform peer reviews, provide quality assurance on documentation and ensure solutions align with the enterprise architecture and strategic vision.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide guidance on the HCM future roadmap and collaborate with stakeholders to develop a business case for change.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to elicit, analyze, understand, and document business and functional requirements.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, IT management, and Business Application team members to prioritize tasks and schedule activities.
• Assist technical and development resources to ensure that delivered solutions meet business requirements and ensure that solutions align with enterprise architecture.
• Document detailed business requirements, including system flowcharts, use cases, data flow diagrams, application interfaces, data mappings, and process flows.
• Write functional specifications, perform application gap analysis, detail non-functional requirements, and recommend solutions to address approved business requirements.
• Develop, test, and implement solutions to meet business requirements approved by internal stakeholders (including updates/changes and new implementations).
• Create operational support documentation and user guides for support provided to the business or other IT departments.
• Analyze the implications of requested new or enhanced application functionality and provide feedback.
• Within a project team, lead business analysis or other project activities, provide regular status reports and collaborate closely with the assigned Project Manager to ensure project plans and timelines are met.
• For small projects, develop and maintain detailed project plans and schedules for projects.
• Provide support for applications in use, including Oracle HCM and other core systems.
• Manage the escalation of support issues, troubleshoot, and resolve escalated support tickets.
• Create, format, and deliver ad-hoc reports and queries to operational users and management.
• Plan and coordinate application migrations from test to production environments.
• Develop and deliver training for new and existing application users.
• Create formal system change requests and facilitate the delivery of all production system updates through the change management process.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Business, IT, or related disciplines.
• 8+ years in business systems analysis, preferably with Oracle HCM applications, including client engagement, requirements gathering, analysis, testing, support, and process re-engineering.
• Strong knowledge of business process analysis, workflow design, and HRIS reporting.
• Working knowledge of relational databases and database queries.
• Functional knowledge of ERP applications, specifically Oracle HCM.
• Proficient in MS Office programs.
• Proven skills in developing reports and dashboards in the HCM platform
• Knowledge of, and ability to utilize use case analysis, define and document business requirements.
• Proven experience with business process modeling and IT project management.
• Advanced analytical skills in logical data modeling, use case modeling, and workflow modeling.
• Self-starter with strong motivation and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Detail-oriented with the capacity to understand the big picture and strategic context.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong relationship-building skills and business acumen to drive results.
