The Business Affairs Contract Specialist will be responsible for preparing, negotiating, tracking, and maintaining contracts entered into by Publix, specifically the Marketing Department to mitigate risk. This includes evaluating and understanding the business relationship between Marketing and the outside vendor to ensure that the correct contract is utilized, and all contract terms outlined in the agreement meet Publix’s acceptable terms to protect Publix from any risk or liability including financial or brand implications. This role will work with vendors directly to negotiate contract terms and ensure contract conditions adhere to Publix guidelines. The Contract Specialist will also partner with Publix Corporate Counsel when contract negotiations reach a point that do not align with Publix’s acceptable terms and require alterations to contract language along with partnering to resolve contract disputes.
