This position works out of our corporate headquarters in Tigard, Oregon and reports to our Vice President of Operations. Consolidated Supply Co. is a Pacific Northwest plumbing, water works, and hydronic heating wholesale distributor.
Job Description
The Director of IT will manage and direct the company’s information technology department, ensuring the department provides efficient and effective technical support with a high level of customer service. Responsible for staffing the IT department and ensuring that the team has the skillset necessary to meet the company’s objectives. They will set metrics for team members and hold them accountable to established objectives. Responsible for computer systems, networks, and communications for all locations and employees. Includes systems design, documentation, backup, and security.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in information technology; 5+ years’ experience in hands on IT and 5+ years of leading an IT Team of 6 or more.; or any equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the above-described essential functions.
Knowledge of management information systems; multiple location operations; financial management; software applications; networks; and supervisory practices.
Must have excellent analytical skills and the ability to extrapolate knowledge into practical solutions.
Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities; be an effective leader/manager; plan and organize daily responsibilities; respond well to adversity and handle conflicts.
Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
Establish and maintain good customer, vendor, and employee relations.
Ability to speak, read and write English at the level necessary to successfully perform assigned responsibilities.
