Health Engagement Director – Cigna Healthcare – Philadelphia, PA Full Time

Please note: While the position is based in Philadelphia, PA, travel to other offices in assigned territory is required. Office locations in territory include: Philadelphia, PA; Conshohocken, PA; Pittsburgh, PA; Cleveland, OH; Columbus, OH. Quarterly/as needed in-offices visits at all of these locations are required.

Execution:

• Utilizes in – depth professional knowledge , but is guided b y functional practices and well – defined ma nagement precedents  Focuses on implementing and executing strategies within own department/discipline/team
• Leads larger, Health Engagement Consultant team (s) in markets with full management and technical responsibility for team output
• Manages a staff of health engagement professionals who are responsible for delivering health promotion and wellness programs
• Guides client/cu stomer focused problem resolution and influences/leads process improvement
• Promotes the organization’s health and wellness capabilities to clients/brokers and identifies potential sales opportunities to inform sales leadership and account managers in loc al market(s)
• Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resou rce and operational challenges
• Focuses on ensuring short – term outputs and the effectiveness of team in tegration with other work areas
• Provides input into workforce planning and recruitm ent activities

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Engagement team (s) of direct reports in local market(s) ; may manage multiple markets ; may manage Sr. Supervisor and direct reports. Drive individual and team execut ion of go – to – market approach aligned with Select & Middle Market Health Engagement solutions .
• Maintains current knowledge of and expertise in all health engagement products, programs, strategies, a nd tactics
• Support collaborative relationships with key matrix partners across the organization both within the sales organization and with those stakeholders that support health engagement
• Maintains current knowledge of sales and competit ive activity in assigned market(s)
• Demonstrates mastery of available or upcoming health engagement products, resources, tool s, presentations, mater ials, and collateral
• Lead and execute local market(s) with competitive health engagement sol utions, strategies and tactics
• Ensures team has knowledge and ability to develop inquiries/responses for health engagement solutions; includi ng the facilitation of training/updates for sa les and account management teams
• Drives team accountability on progress and fulfillment of goals and objectives, providing feedback and coaching, and formally reviewin g and recognizing performance
• Provides supe rvision and guidance as they perform their duties for assigned accounts; fosters a growth mind – set and champions Cigna’s Connect to Growth philoso phy
• May attend key finalist , producer meeting (s)
• O versees assignm ent of book of business for Engagement Consul tant s ; may oversee deployment of Health Benefit Educators
• Working with Sr. Engagement Director, c hampions change management to team, market (s) and segment
• Builds relationships with the sales management team and fosters the development of rela tionships be tw een sales and Engagement team at local levels
• Provides quality assurance for health engagement strategy and communication execution in the market (s)
• E valuate sales activities; makes interventions based on sales trend ing market(s)
• Ensures 100% assignment of Engagement team resource
• Responsible for hiring, orienting, training, supervising, evaluating a nd developing team members
• Responsible for the overall management o f client events ; coordinating with matrix team s to ensure coverage for inbound and out boun d benefit education events for local market (s) and other Cigna offices
• Provides leadership in local market (s) and enterprise level situations incl uding driving success of local initiatives
• Coordinate with s ales matrix partners to identify opportunities for product penetration of existing accounts, potential sales of ancillary prod ucts and strategies to maximize growth; p rovide active support to market level growth and persistency
• Achieve the team business plan objectives, both in support of the implementat ion of new plans and in identifying and responding team needs

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s preferred; in health education, health ad ministration, or related field
• 2+ years management experience required Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong business and financial acumen, analyt ical and problem solving skills
• Exceptional interpersonal skills with direct experience in successfully managing client facing/growth initiatives within high ly matrixed organizations
• Proven ability to excel in a heavily matrixed environment
• Ability to analyze complex market (s) opportunities and develop creative solutions in partnership with sales, account management, underwriting, and product teams to solve a wide va riety of unique market strategies
• Must be willin g to travel to remote trainings/meetings as needed – 20 – 30%
