The person in this position will ensure that license plates, renewals and permits are obtained in a timely manner for customers. Obtain all necessary documents to enable the purchase of license plates/renewals.
Necessary documents include applications, registrations, bills of sale/lease agreements and other documents required by the current transaction and jurisdiction.
Job description:
Monitor and maintain all licensing accounts, both intra (ON) and under the International Registration Plan (IRP);
Inform all customers 30 to 45 days prior to upcoming renewals along with renewal documents of requirements;
Assure accurate and timely filing of all daily supplements and renewals;
Maintain catalog for filing of all IRP accounts and Intra plate registration on both Permit Management System (PMS) and Fuel Tax System (FTS) as required;
Ensure all IRP plates are updated as required on both PMS and FTS system;
Process of IRP mileage renewal for correct and required mileage renewal period (July to June);
Assist in Temp and Annual Permits as needed;
Perform special projects as needed;
Extended hours may be required during monthly peak periods or as workload demands;
Communicate necessary requirements to customers as needed;
Answer and resolve customer questions in a professional and timely manner;
Answer and or direct all customer inquires to appropriate department;
Customer Service;
Follow up on inquires by customer.
Prerequisites, Skills and Education:
High school diploma – Post Secondary beneficial
Broad base knowledge of legalization area, specifically motor vehicle licensing requirements
Ability to work I a production environment
