Job Description and Responsibilities
Join EVRAZ North America as a Logistics Analyst and drive efficiency within our supply chain operations. The Logistics Analyst collaborates with a variety of internal stakeholders and transportation service providers to meet shipping requirements and provides data analysis related to logistics and inventory and is responsible for auditing shipping documents, billing and invoicing.
Ensure inbound empty rail cars meet shipping targets and demands are aligned
Execute operational rail tasks such as ordering and rejecting railcars, requesting extra switches, adjusting demand
Review/approve/dispute/investigate demurrage invoices and other scrap related railway invoices for Recycling and Regina
Audit billing, payment and dispute needs related to logistics
Review, verify, and approve invoices for payment
Provide daily private vs RR owned railcar list to Regina scrap yard as well as empty car weights
Track, monitor, maintain and distribute various reports such as shipping, utilization, fulfillment and demurrage
Provide visibility and data analysis regarding current and past shipments
Document and develop standard logistics operating procedures and guidelines where needed
Contribute to month-end processing
Document and escalate logistics issues when appropriate
Investigate loads stray and organize contractors for load adjustments
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain, Operations Management or equivalent work experience
1-3 years in transportation, planning, sales, within a customer service-focused environment
Working knowledge of supply chain management & logistics
Ability to plan, organize and execute schedules in a changing environment
Demonstrated experience in auditing and data management (e.g. invoices, BOLs)
Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint)
Demonstrated ability to work with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
