Position Summary

Under minimal supervision, performs grounds maintenance tasks. Including… directs, coordinates and services all grounds maintenance needs as necessary adhering to all safety guidelines. Directs outside contractor on needs of the company.

• Candidates with a good driving record are preferred

Duties and Responsibilities

Marks company owned property in compliance with 811.

Directs outside Contractors.

Performs grounds keeping and building maintenance duties.

Cuts lawn using hand,power or riding mower and trims and edges around walks, flower beds, and walks.

Landscapes by planting flowers, grass, shrubs, and bushes.

Applies pesticide to rid grounds of pests such as mosquitos, wasps, ticks,and others.

Applies fertilizer to ground to enhance growth.

Shovels snow from walkways and sprinkle salt down to keep people from falling.

Performs routine maintenance duties such as applying plaster, fixing fountains, and other duties.

Sweeps walkway of debris.

Cuts down tree limbs that are posing a danger.

Trims shrubs and pull weeds .

Performs minor repairs and maintenance procedures on equipment utilized in grounds keeping.

Installs lawn furniture.

Rakes, mulches, and prunes the grounds as needed.

Waters plants and grass as needed and apply fertilizer.

Must be willing to respond to emergencies or situations needing immediate attention that may occur outside of regular schedule.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required. Five years minimum landscaping experience. Basic mechanical knowledge. Valid driver’s license. Ability to drive heavy operating equipment.
