The Nemours Diagnostic Referral Division is a unique service that specializes in difficult diagnoses as well as the inpatient and outpatient management of children with complex medical conditions. This position provides coverage in our own hospital as well as several long-term care facilities throughout Delaware and Pennsylvania

The minimum requirements for our position is completion of pediatric residency and board eligible/certified in General Pediatrics. An applicant with additional experience including a chief residency year or fellowship training (e.g. general academic pediatrics, hospitalist medicine, complex care or palliative care) or prior work experience as a hospitalist and board eligible/certified in Pediatric Hospitalist Medicine is preferred.
The position will include both outpatient and inpatient diagnosis and management of pediatric patients with complex, chronic medical conditions and technology dependence. Practice settings include inpatient medical service, outpatient medically complex clinic, and long-term care facilities.
The Nemours Children’s Hospital/Delaware, with a long-established and excellent reputation in pediatric health care, draws a broadly diverse patient population with a wide variety of diagnoses. The hospital, supported in part through an endowment from the Nemours Foundation, continues to grow both regionally and nationally and is the tertiary care center for pediatrics within the Jefferson Health Care System.
