Summary:

The Operations Specialist (OS) for the Regional Nursing & Wellness Programs is responsible implementing department wide initiatives that align with MHM’s strategic goals and vision. The OS will be a proven driver of change and work with the leaders of regional nursing and wellness programs to provide administrative direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Regional Nursing & Wellness programs activities of assigned projects, functions, and quality assurance within the department to align with organizational needs.

Salary:

Annual salary rate begins at $66,079.00. Mid range at $82,599.00. Actual starting rate will be commensurate with experience and education.

Essential Duties:

• Provides administrative direction for the operations and projects within the RNWP department under the direction of the Director of Regional Nursing and Wellness Programs.
• Ability to work with large conceptual ideas, operationalize projects and direct appropriate team members during project creation, implementation, and evaluation.

• Leads, assists, or participates with Process improvement/excellence teams as directed.
• Serve as liaison for Organizational Excellence to apply process/performance improvement methodologies to department/functional area processes and projects.
• Works with Quality, Safety, and Compliance

• Facilitates strategic and operational planning and implementation processes to assure that management is knowledgeable of process, goals, objectives and strategies.
• Manages the review of existing policies and procedures.
• Assist with the creation, roll out, and implementation of new departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with implementation of organizational policies.
• Communicates senior leadership, and team members as needed.
• Be proactive in the ongoing development and maintenance of the department project/program design. Create, organize, and maintain project/program documentation/materials. Work with other teams as needed to guide this work.

• Track project team progress and communicate status throughout all phases of planning and execution to RNWP leadership. Attends educational seminars and leadership conferences to gain insight to the evolving health landscape to potentially help improve the processes and delivery of services provided.
• Work with Nursing Professional Development and RNWP team members to identify best practices and develop internal and external presentations.

• Assist with interdepartmental engagement efforts.
• Lead quality assurance efforts in the development of presentations and/or reports to promote data driven decision-making throughout the organization, including but not limited to Board presentation materials and key performance indicator (KPI) data and reporting.
• Provide support for planning and implementing convening for partner organizations.
• Document and report service quality levels to ensure service level objectives are met.
• Work with Managers, RNWP team Members and the communications Department to develop and disseminate communications on department activities through website blogs and updates.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Must be culturally competent. Proficient in PowerPoint and working knowledge of internet-based research and other Microsoft 365 products including but not limited to: Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, SharePoint.

Education/Experience:

Experience working with administration, healthcare, or management with community-based organizations preferred. Two years (2) year experience in performance improvement or project management during which critical thinking and time-management skills have been demonstrated required. Bachelor’s degree required. In lieu of education, must have a high school diploma or GED and four (4) years’ experience.

Certificates and Licenses:

Project management certification preferred.

Travel:

Ability to travel up to 25% of the time to community sites, MHM program sites, convenings, and conferences.
